Creating a logo from scratch and then revamping it after it’s already been finished (at least to client’s specifications, or due to time restraints, etc.) is total headache. Believe me, I’ve been there. Here is an example of a logo that was originally created for a mock-up competition where there were serious time constraints, the designers worked in groups where everything had to be created within 3 hours: logo, website mock-up, business cards, etc. This was the logo that our team agreed upon and created within the designated time-frame:
Not too shabby, but not awesome either. It wasn’t exactly what I had in mind and I’m an obsessive perfectionist so just to spice things up and to vent the creative overflow, I revamped the WCAMHS logo yet a second time, and that version looks like:
A better version, which I really like, but I wanted to do one with a little more pizazz, so here’s my third and last attempt at this logo re-creation:
I really, really, really like the final result. What do you think? Have you had to re-do, revamp, or completely re-create a logo? Feel free to leave comments about any personal experience you may have had in this area or leave some examples of work you’ve done. Happy designing!
